SCA Health is one of the nation's leading operators of ambulatory surgery centres, managing a network of over 370 ASCs across 35 states and performing more than one million outpatient procedures annually. As part of Optum, SCA Health partners with physicians, hospitals, and health systems to develop and optimise surgical facilities — delivering high-quality, cost-effective care across specialties including orthopaedics, gastroenterology, and cardiology. JAX began its partnership with SCA Health in 2025, providing project management support for surgery centre development in Southern California. With $2M+ in completed construction spend and projects underway, JAX is currently supporting SCA Health's University Surgery Center in La Jolla — a new 26,000 sf ambulatory surgery centre featuring six operating rooms and two GI procedure rooms — one of the most complex projects in JAX's portfolio to date.
